We feel that we can teach anyone. Cougar Mountain pioneered the sport of guided snowmobile trips and we have been teaching people in Whistler to ride for over 18 years. We offer a first timer ride, the learn-to-ride tour, an intermediate ride, the explorer tour, and an advanced ride - the Summit tour. Please see each description for the best choice for you. We also have a Family Trail.

- Learn to Ride Tour - Easiest Level
Cougar Mountain has specially designed the Learn to Ride and Family tour programs to meet the needs of first time riders and families with small children. These programs have been developed to introduce you to the sport of snowmobiling in a safe, exciting and informative environment. Once you have completed the Learn to Ride training, your guide will lead you on a journey to magnificent forests, breathtaking views, and the thrill of riding frozen lakes.

- Whistler Family Tours (Just for Kids!) - Easiest Level
Family tours are run separately from the Learn to Ride tours, and have private guides to conduct each tour. Small children ride in safe, comfortable sleighs, while Mom and Dad ride their own snowmobile. At the cabin, the children can learn to ride on the Ski-Doo "Mini Z". Make sure to bring lots of film to capture this memorable family event!

- Whistler Explorer Tour - Intermediate Level
Experience the next step in adventure snowmobiling, the intermediate explorer tour. Your adventure may take you onto single-track trails, on frozen lakes or to a visit in Whistler's Ancient Cedar Forest.

- Whistler - The Trail Blazer - Advanced
The Trail Blazer tour is for the rider who is has 'been there, done that' and is looking for a faster paced tour. You'll ride Ski-Doo's state-of-the-art Summit 500 mountain sled and our experienced, professional guide will coach you on backcountry riding skills. This tour is limited to 5 riders per your which allows your guide to customize your tour to meet the needs of the more experienced rider.

- Whistler Summit Tour - Advanced
This adventure begins with a ride in our custom Hummer 4x4. With over 1500 acres of mountain terrain, experience the magic of carving your own tracks in powder filled meadows, climbing into the alpine or gliding across frozen lakes. These snowmobile trips are designed for single riders who want maximum ride time.
You will ride Skidoo's state-of-the-art Summit 700cc mountain sled, and our professional mountain guide will coach you on backcountry riding skills. Previous snowmobiling experience is essential. Hearty lunch included on all tours.

- Whistler - Traditional West Coast Salmon Barbeque - Everyone welcome
Cruise through the wilderness of Cougar Mountain where you will escape to the quiet surroundings of the Trapper's Cabin on the shore of Cougar Lake. Your Host will be serving a traditional West Coast salmon BBQ will all the trimmings, desert and beverages. Warm yourself by the wood-burning stove while you share your experiences with old and new friends alike. A truly special way to remember your Whistler vacation!
